Position Overview:

The General Manager - Milling is responsible for overseeing the entire milling operations within the palm oil industry. This includes ensuring efficient and productive milling processes, maintaining quality standards, adhering to safety regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in milling operations, and a deep understanding of the palm oil industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:Oversee daily milling operations to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.
   Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and systems to enhance milling performance.
   Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as necessary to achieve production targets.
   

2. Quality Control:Ensure that all milling processes meet the established quality standards.
   Implement and monitor quality control procedures to guarantee the production of high-quality palm oil.
   Address and resolve any quality issues promptly to maintain product integrity.
   

3. Maintenance and Safety:Oversee the maintenance of milling equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
   Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
   Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
   

4. Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and develop the milling operations team to achieve their full potential.
   Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
   Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.
   

5. Financial Management:Develop and manage the milling operations budget to ensure cost-effective production.
   Monitor and control operational expenses to maximize profitability.

6. Regulatory Compliance:Ensure all milling operations comply with local, national, and international regulations and standards.
   Stay updated on industry regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in milling operations within the palm oil industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Strong understanding of palm oil milling processes, equipment, and quality control standards.

• Proven track record of managing large-scale milling operations and achieving production targets.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the palm oil industry.
